Explore our visitors guide on Rockport Boat Rentals and watercraft tour services at this State Park and reservoir in Utah.  Come and experience the cool waters of Rockport Reservoir in the summer months.  We offer wakeboard lessons, waterskiing, tubing,  ATV rentals, canoe or paddle rentals.  We provide all the top notch boat, jet ski, waverunner, and boat tour services.   The Rockport marina and State Park area was colonized in 1860.  It was named for the rock fort built to protect settlers from Indian uprisings.  About 210 people lived there until the land was purchased in 1957 by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for construction of the Wanship Dam.  Rockport Reservoir is about three miles long and one-half mile wide.  At an elevation of over 6,000 feet, it covers more than 500 acres.  Anglers fish for bass, perch, campers, and rainbow trout. During winter, ice fish and access nearby snowmobile trails which are groomed or non-groomed trails.  This reservoir is located 15 min away from Park City, UT.
